Diamond’s senior management team has over 100 years of combined experience in the areas of private equity, business development, entrepreneurship, community venture capital, economic development, education and banking. Diamond senior management‘s unique blend of skills, talents and experience will allow the company to effectively execute its mission of investing in and helping grow emerging growth companies owned by women and persons of color. Our professional experience includes:
- Track record of over 30 loans in 7 years of commercial banking and more than 100 financings. Managed a portfolio averaging $30 million with two banks. Responsible for all commercial loan business development at a $350MM community bank. Syndicated up to $70MM in financings. Financed deals from $500K to $6MM on average.
- Community development venture financier who financed over 450 businesses in a 30 year career. Of those financings, at least 75 involved equity. Built CDVC from $500,000 in assets to over $100MM in 1997 when he departed. The investments were primarily in low-income rural areas. The most relevant measure of success was creating or saving over 13,000 jobs.
- One of the South’s leading development financiers having financed more than 600 businesses by managing a $10MM revolving fund, and being president of the SBA local certified development company. The blended loss ratio of capital was under 8 percent. Created or saved over 10,000 jobs for low-income residents of Atlanta.
